SCHOOLS PROGRAMME

In view of the new planning preparation assessments reference staffing and work force remodelling BIMAA are able to offer training in Schools, Colleges and Universities to students from the ages of ten years and above.

  • TRADITIONAL KARATE

  • FREESTYLE KICKBOXING

  • SELF DEFENSE

The School curriculum would allow students to grade usually within a twelve-week period to higher grades recognised the colour belt system if required.

Although these advancement gradings are not compulsory most students like the sense of achievement and of course if a student wishes to obtain black belt status progression through the colour belt system is necessary.

 

LAKAS KICKBOXING

Lakas Kickboxing is Unique to our members originating from family contacts in the Philippines and incorporates many Martial Styles

Kickboxing is a product of USA and was created to replace the complicated point scoring systems within Martial Arts Competitions.

Now very popular and practiced worldwide, Kickboxing, which combines skills and techniques taken from Western Boxing, Tai Boxing, Karate, Freestyle and Kung Fu, has become a very skilled Martial Art and is very effective for sport and self defense aspects

  

 LAKAS KARATE (WADO RYU BASED)

A unique Martial Art which combining Karate and Ju Jitsu

Of the five major styles of Karate, Wado Ryu is recognised for its speed and effectiveness, employing very successfully a slightly shorter stance than most other styles.

Wado Ryu is considered very suitable for male or female Students ranging from children aged from 6 and above to senior students up to 65. 

During a group or private session a warming up and warming down period is conducted at the start and end of a session.

There are many other aspects within the Wado Ryu System, which during your training in turn will all play an important part including 

·      Dynamic Punching & Kicking, Evasion, Sweeping, Throwing, Strangles, Chokes, Awareness, 

·      Anticipation, Dodging, Self Control, Self Awareness, Self Discipline, Self Defense, Keep Fit.

Both Karate and Kickboxing have BIMAA approved curriculum's from white to black belt and above based on the following

Basic Techniques, Combination Techniques, Pre-arranged Pair work, Pad work

Semi Free Fighting, Self Defense, Forms

Kickboxing and Karate will give you both a full-body cardiovascular workout and the confidence of a martial art.

As Kickboxing and Karate combine kicks, punches, flexibility, cardiovascular activity, and strength training, offer the practitioner a total body workout that can burn from 800 to 1200 calories an hour. In addition both are excellent for making friends, self-defense, keep fit, traditional art form, sport, building of confidence, awareness and character.

Unlike many other sports, kickboxing and Karate combine both aerobic and anaerobic workouts, therefore being an excellent and one of the best ways to keep fit.
